The Southern Peace and Justice Center has grown out of the work of Open Door Mennonite Church, an historic peace church born in the aftermath of the Civil Rights Movement in Jackson, MS.
Over the last few years, it has been an emerging entity that has focused on Service Learning, Civil Rights tours and education for people who live outside the South, as well as development of our building to be a community hub for those in our neighborhood.
In these chaotic times, there is so much work to be done. We look forward to being able to do it with you.
